The Exercise room is now OPEN on Tuesday's and Fridays from 8:30 to 9:30 AM. The room monitor is Mrs. Janet Bolland. Come out and and do you morning work out.
Magistrate Carol A. Fouty has offered her services to anyone who is a member or C.O.R.A. or to anyone in the general area of Rand, who needs to ask a question of a Magistrate. We now have 8 computers for learning and lessons on how to use the computer and we have seven  computers that are Internet  ready. No one will be allowed to use the the Internet ready computers with out showing to the room monitor, that you are computer literate and knowledgeable on how to surf the Internet.  There will be several rules posted in the computer room and must be adhered too very strictly. We shall be asking anyone that uses the computer room to PLEASE register as they enter the room, with name and phone number, in case we need to contact you later, if a class has to be canceled or there is a time change.
THERE WILL BE ABSOLUTELY NO FOOD OR DRINK ALLOWED IN THE COMPUTER ROOM AT ANY TIME !
We are offering this Internet service to all individuals, as a service of your local Community Center. The service is FREE, but DONATIONS will be accepted, to help defray the cost of the Cable Modem.

Notice:  There are signs posted in several areas of the computer room, of the rules that must be complied with, so PLEASE follow the rules and keep your area clean and clean up your area, before you leave.
NO ONE IS ALLOWED TO DOWNLOAD ANYTHING FROM THE INTERNET TO THE CENTERS COMPUTERS !  If caught doing so, you privileges to use the computer room will be terminated, and you will be ask to leave.


1. The "FREE" clothing room will be open on each Wednesday from 9 AM till 12 Noon. Anyone willing to work the clothing room during the day on weekdays, contact Ellen Carter @ 925-4695.  The Thrift Store is now located on our second floor , and is open the same hours as the clothing room. Nothing over $10.00.
2. We have a food pantry now located in our center, if you wish to drop off food for the pantry, please do so after 3 PM any week day. We also have a box set out for used eye glasses, to be given to the Rand Lions Club.
3. Our Neighborhood Watch meetings have been canceled for the time being, due to lack of interest and no manpower to staff.
4. Anyone wishing to announce a community event and want it put on the web site,  send a E-Mail to Larry @ L4739y@aol.com. I will try to get it posted for you.
5. If anyone purchases a large item, such as Televisions, Freezer and etc., from our Thrift Store, you will have only 5 days from date of sale to arrange to have the item picked up at the center. After 5 days the items goes back on sale, no exceptions.

Starting in the month of May, 2009, the computer room will be open on Mondays, 9 AM till 12 PM and on Tuesday and Thursday from 1 PM till 4 PM, for the use to the general public. There will be a computer room monitor there at all times, and all rules must be complied with. if we find we need more hours to be open, we will add accordingly.
